Helen's Main Street become a hub for unique Christmas gifts and holiday commerce during this annual market festival. There will be plenty of food and drinks on hand as well. The market opens at 11 a.m.
2015 Christmas in McDonough
Get into the holiday spirit with McDonough residents during this evening downtown event, featuring a tree lighting ceremony and lively holiday parade to follow. The festivities are held at historic McDonough Square starting at 5 p.m.
2015 First Saturday Hike
On the first Saturday of 2016, visitors are invited to take a ranger-guided hike of the Etowah Mounds in Cartersville. The hike 1.5 miles long, and features plenty of wildlife and nature viewing opportunities. The hike starts at 9:30 a.m.

2016 Holiday Evening Tours by Candlelight
This holiday season, visitors of Savannah are invited to explore the historic Davenport House Museum and neighboring sites on Columbia Square. There will be live music, dedicated interpreters, refreshments, and more, as tours are offered at 6 p.m. each evening.
2016 Color Vibe 5K
One of the brightest 5K runs around, this event sure to light-up the winter in Savannah. Participants are invited run or walk the course as they're "colored" by fellow runners and spectators. The run begins at 9 a.m.
2016 Mountainfilm On Tour Savannah
A two-day film festival held in Savannah, featuring documentaries made by regional, award-winning filmmakers, forums, and other cinema-centric activities. The festival is held at Trustees Theater – screening times vary.
2016 Southeast Georgia Health System Bridge Run
Get out and enjoy the Georgia coast with Brunswick residents. This annual race is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., crossing the 7,780-foot long Sidney Lanier Bridge.
