Atlanta & Northern Georgia Events
2016 Slingshot Festival
A renowned showcase, featuring a collection of national and international visual artists and musicians, as well as film screenings and stand-up comedy. The event is held at Georgia Theatre – check the schedule during your visit.
2016 Pub Crawl on the BeltLine
Pubs and restaurants from Krog Street Market to Park Tavern on Atlanta's BeltLine open their doors to any and all takers. Multiple venues will have free drinks available as well. The drinks start pouring at 1 p.m.
2016 Spring Bierfest
Helen visitors and traveling beer lovers alike won't want to miss this beer and wine sampling event held at the Helen Festhalle. There will be over 100 regionally and nationally brewed beers to sample alongside live music, food, and more. The fun begins at 6 p.m.
2016 Atlanta Film Festival
Regional, national, and international filmmakers showcase a wide variety of films this season at several different venues, including the Plaza Theatre and 7 Stages Theatre. Check the schedule and see what films are playing during your visit.
Coastal Georgia Events
2016 Southeast Georgia Health System Bridge Run
Get out and enjoy the Georgia coast with Brunswick residents. This annual race is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., crossing the 7,780-foot long Sidney Lanier Bridge.
Southern Georgia Events
Beginning March 12th, the Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta is the site for Dinosaur Explore! Through January 1st, see more than 20 animatronic and nearly life size dinos and other prehistoric critters.
13th Annual Swampfest
Downtown Waycross in southern Georgia hosts their annual Swampfest. This is the 13th year of the event. Live music, food vendors, a 300-ft long zip line, and few things say Southern Georgia better than the famous "Coca Cola Chug Contest."
Comedian Mike Lawrence
See stellar comedian Mike Lawrence perform live on stage at Mos' Art Theatre in Lake Park, just south of Valdosta. the NYC-based comedian hits the stage at 8 p.m. on April 8th.
Art & Wine Walk
Head for downtown Valdosta on May 6th for the Art & Wine Walk. Enjoy your favorite white or red – but be sure to say no way Jose to the Rosé – as you enjoy fine works from local and international artists.
