Set in Lowndes County, Valdosta Regional Airport (VLD) serves the city of Valdosta in southern Georgia near the Florida border. Owned by Valdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority, VLD is a public-use airpark served by Delta Air Lines.
Covering 760 acres, VLD features three runways, and features daily flights to Atlanta. Established in 1940, VLD was formerly Valdosta Army Auxiliary Airfield – used to relieve the nearby Moody Army Airfield during World War II.
