Major League Baseball is alive and well in the city of Atlanta. Turner Field has been the home ballpark for the Atlanta Braves since 1997 after the demolition of Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. The 85,000-seat stadium was constructed for the 1996 Summer Olympics and named the Centennial Olympic Stadium.
Once the Olympics and the Summer Paralympics were over, the ballpark was renovated for baseball Major League Baseball action, with just over 49,000 seats. This is a premier Atlanta-area attraction.
In 2000, this wonderful baseball stadium hosted the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The college baseball rivalry game between the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech is a fun, annual event hosted at the ballpark.
Celebrate a special occasion by watching the Braves from one of the premium seats, including the 755 Club. While in the stadium, stroll through the ballpark's museum, the Ivan Allen Jr. Braves Museum and Hall of Fame.
