Mall of Georgia
As the largest shopping mall in Georgia, the Mall of Georgia is an ideal destination for your next trek across the northern region of the state. Found in Buford, not far from Stone Mountain and Oakwood, the Mall of Georgia was opened in 1999 and features more than 200 stores and retailers spread across 1,786,000 square feet of space. Fully enclosed and divided up into three levels, the Mall of Georgia is a top shopping destination for the area.
Interesting note about the Mall of Georgia – there is a statue at the top of the mall in the form of Button Gwinnett, of the first men to sign the Declaration of Independence. Gwinnett County, where the mall is located, is also named for Button Gwinnett. Explore the Mall of Georgia on your next visit, pick up a few gifts for loved ones back home, enjoy lunch or dinner at any of the vast number of restaurants at the mall, and be sure to visit Santa when you're in town for the Holidays.
