Georgia Hotel Reservations
Lake Chehaw, located near Albany, is a 1,400-acre reservoir, and home to some excellent southern Georgia outdoor recreation. The man-made lake was built in 1908 for hydroelectric power usage, but has since served the public as a great fishing destination as well.
This family-friendly reservoir has multiple boat launch sites, a canoe trail, and covered picnic areas as well. Frequently caught fish include black crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, and large mouth bass, so be sure to bring plenty of bait.
